It’s a double-whammy this week and we’re focussing on two songs that simply sound better live rather than their ‘radio edit’ counterparts.
First up is ‘Sweet Disposition‘ by The Temper Trap. The song became well-known last spring/summer as it rose up the official charts and featured on a number of television ads. However, this acoustic set by 3/4s of the band makes for great listening:
So that just leaves new music phenomenon James Blake. This ‘Wilhelm Scream‘ set was recorded for the BBC Sound Of 2011 where Blake came in respectable 2nd place:
